He was so drunk, according to reports, that he was literally passed out in the front seat.

When he was found, he was unresponsive.

The incident took place at around 1:00 in the morning at a Taco Bell in the City of Hazard.

Rather than arresting Officer Fields and placing him in jail, police escorted Officer Fields to a nearby hospital.

“As soon as it becomes aware to the officer that there’s a medical need, ya know, that has to take precedent over any kind of arrest, always,” says Minor Allen, a Hazard Police Chief.

“The preservation of life is our number one concern,” he added.

“And, ya know, I regret this has happened to a fellow officer, I do,” he continued.

The officer has been cited for a DUI, but no punishment has been issued so far.

Filming Cops was started in 2010 as a conglomerative blogging service documenting police abuse. The aim isn’t to demonize the natural concept of security provision as such, but to highlight specific cases of State-monopolized police brutality that are otherwise ignored by traditional media outlets.
