PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. – A Panama City Beach police officer is being charged with aggravated assault with a firearm and simple battery.

According to the arrest report, Scott Womack, 48, got into an argument with the victim in the Rock-It-Lanes parking lot in Panama City Beach while off duty. The report says the argument turned into a physical fight and Womack choked the victim and pulled out what appeared to be a gun.

The victim told investigators Womack put the gun in his face and said “I will cap you, ************, I will ******* cap you,” then slapped the victim in the face and holstered his gun.

According to the arrest report, investigators watched a video showing Womack in the parking lot grabbing the victim by the throat and putting something that looked like a gun in the victim’s face. The video also reportedly shows Womack walking away and holstering a gun. The arrest report says the video shows Womack walked back over to the victim and slapped the victim in the face while keeping his other hand on his gun.
