Turlock, CA — 15-year-old Alexis Odisho was reported missing — her alleged kidnapper, a cop.

Thursday morning in Las Vegas, Daniel Boone Morgan, 30, was apprehended and taken into the custody of the Las Vegas Police department, for the kidnapping of Odisho.

Morgan is a member of the Kiowa Police Department in Oklahoma and was the lead suspect in the disappearance of Odisho, after it was reported that she left with him. When the alert was sounded on Wednesday, Morgan was assumed to be armed and dangerous.

According to police, the two were traveling in a 2013 Ford Mustang with Oklahoma or Louisiana license plates. They were believed to have been heading toward Southern California and may have been headed toward Mexico.

Odisho was visiting relatives in Turlock, California this week when she disappeared with Morgan.

She is now safe and will be returned to her family shortly, according to police.

Morgan has been placed on administrative leave with the Kiowa Police Department.

Sadly, police departments across the country engage in child abductions on a regular basis, and their activities are actually sanctioned by the government.

In the name of child safety, children are torn from the arms of their caring parents and end up in state-run foster homes only to be abused, or worse.

Filming Cops was started in 2010 as a conglomerative blogging service documenting police abuse. The aim isn’t to demonize the natural concept of security provision as such, but to highlight specific cases of State-monopolized police brutality that are otherwise ignored by traditional media outlets.
