A video recorded on a witness’s cell phone shows interaction between Vineland police officers and Phillip White, a 32-year-old man who died in police custody last week.

The video, which was provided to NBC10.com by a family friend of White according to the news outlet’s website, shows White on his back on the ground while a police K-9 attacks him.

An officer screams at White to “roll over, put your hands behind you head! Do it now!”

Later, a police officer tells the person recording the arrest that he’s “going to need to take your phone” and asks for the person’s name.

After the arrest, White was taken to the hospital in “respiratory distress,” according to the Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office.
