Wichita Police Officer Arrested on Suspicion of Official Misconduct and Stalking

A Wichita police officer was arrested Friday on suspicion of misdemeanor official misconduct and stalking, according to the Wichita Police Department.

The arrest was made by the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office after police requested an investigation into the officer, Officer Charley Davidson said in a prepared statement. The officer is a 21-year veteran of the police department is on paid administrative leave, in accordance with department policy.

Davidson did not name the officer, but records indicate Joshua R. Price, 46, was booked into the Sedgwick County Jail shortly after 8:30 p.m. on suspicion of official misconduct and two counts of stalking.
