Florida Police Officer Arrested For Selling Drugs Out of Patrol Car

Bonifay, Fla. – The following is an unedited press release from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement:

FDLE Agents arrested Bonifay Police Officer Dwayne Frazier White, 48, for selling a controlled substance within 1000 feet of an assisted living facility and unlawful use of a two-way communication device.

FDLE began its investigation in September at the request of Holmes County Sheriff’s Office. The Sheriff’s Office received information that White was selling prescription opioid tablets. Earlier this month, FDLE agents made a controlled purchase of opioid tablets from White. At the time of purchase, White was selling the drugs out of his marked patrol vehicle, while in uniform and was using his personal cell phone to facilitate the drug deals.

White was arrested last night at the Bonifay Police Department. He is being housed at the Walton County Jail.

The Office of the State Attorney, 14th Judicial Circuit is prosecuting this case. Holmes County Sheriff’s Office and Bonifay Police Department are assisting with this investigation.

Filming Cops was started in 2010 as a conglomerative blogging service documenting police abuse. The aim isn’t to demonize the natural concept of security provision as such, but to highlight specific cases of State-monopolized police brutality that are otherwise ignored by traditional media outlets.
