MIAMI, FL — The parents never thought they would lose their son this way.
Jahiem Robertson was just 13-yrs-old with a bright future ahead of him.
It came to an end when he was struck and killed by a now-former officer who was driving drunk.
Former officer John Camfield was driving with at least two times the legal limit for blood alcohol level.
Jahiem and four other young boys were walking home after being dropped off at a school bus stop.
Camfield fatally struck Jaheim and injured the four other boys.
He is facing more than 10 charges, including vehicular homicide.
Jahiem was rushed to the hospital after the impact, where he died.
Another child suffered from orbital fractures and is being treated in the intensive care unit.
Camfield is expected to appear in court soon and is being held on $600,000 bail.
