Nine Year Veteran of San Antonio Police Department Arrested For Shoplifting

A nine-year veteran of the San Antonio Police Department was arrested on Thursday afternoon for allegedly shoplifting at Ingram Park Mall, according to SAPD.

SAPD responded to a call about a suspected shoplifter that was being detained by the mall’s loss prevention officers. When SAPD officers arrived, they found that the detained individual was off-duty SAPD officer Stephanie Solis.

According to a press release from SAPD, Solis was seen putting merchandise in her purse before walking out of the store without paying.

Solis was booked for theft ranging from $100-$750, which is a Class B misdemeanor.

“She will be placed on administrative leave pending further investigation,” read the press release.

The case will be submitted to District Attorney Nico LaHood’s office for review. An Internal Affairs investigation is already taking place, according to the release.

Filming Cops was started in 2010 as a conglomerative blogging service documenting police abuse.
