Teen Shot, Killed After Answering Police Door Knock In Massachusetts

nbc

A Massachusetts teen was shot and killed after answering the door to his home Tuesday night, police said.

Haverhill police say they responded to 54 Rainbow Drive just after 9:30 p.m., where they found an 18-year-old male victim suffering from a gunshot wound to his chest.

The victim, identified as resident Bryce Finn, was taken to Merrimack Valley Hospital in Haverhill, where he was pronounced dead.

Witnesses told police a suspect knocked on the door of the victim’s home and when Finn answered, he was shot and the suspect fled.

Investigators do not believe this was a random act and they’re still searching for the suspect.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police.

At the scene Wednesday morning, neighbors were still in disbelief.

“People were running, screaming,” one neighbor said about the chaos that ensued.

Finn was a recent Haverhill High School graduate.

Filming Cops was started in 2010 as a conglomerative blogging service documenting police abuse. The aim isn’t to demonize the natural concept of security provision as such, but to highlight specific cases of State-monopolized police brutality that are otherwise ignored by traditional media outlets.
