Video: Police Officer Dominick Izzo Tells the Truth about the War on Drugs

3 weeks before being terminated, Officer Dominick Izzo submitted a demand letter of resignation from Chief of Police George Filenko of the Round Lake Park Police Department, for Filenko’s role in the suicide of Fox Lake Lt Joe Glineiwicz and the false confession of Melissa Calusinski, which lead to her conviction of murder.

Izzo talks about the system of the war on drugs, being a reality of the war on people who the police are sworn to serve.

3 weeks after the release of this video, Izzo was terminated from his department for policy violations, however is in the process of litigation to return to active service.

In May of 2017 Izzo announced his running for Cook County Sheriff in Illinois, and began hosting Cop Talk on the Officer Dominick Izzo Facebook page, Monday through Thursday nights at 7pm central, continuing to expose police corruption.

Filming Cops was started in 2010 as a conglomerative blogging service documenting police abuse. The aim isn’t to demonize the natural concept of security provision as such, but to highlight specific cases of State-monopolized police brutality that are otherwise ignored by traditional media outlets.
