In video uploaded to WorldStar Hip Hop, a Boston police officer is seen harassing a black man just walking down the street, peppering him with questions about whether he has a job before sarcastically mocking him as a “contributor” to society.
In the video, the unidentified black man claims he had just exited his Uber on the way to get his haircut and noticed two plainclothes Boston police officers watching him from their vehicle, causing him to get his phone out to record the encounter.
What followed was one officer wearing a Boston Bruins knit cap, demanding the man give him his name, saying, “We’re look like some we want to speak to. You’re not Kevin?”
After refusing to give his name, the man is flanked by both officers after they leave the vehicle, told to stay and answer questions including where he lives and what he is doing walking down the street.
“Why are you bothering me?” the man asks the officer who proceeds to take out his cellphone and take his picture, smirking, “Your parents proud of you for flipping off the police?”
As the man tries to walk away, the officer in the knit cap, sarcastically adds, “Have a great day, contributor. What are you doing for work, anything?”
Tired of being questioned, the man confronts the officer and is dismissed with, “Go away. Go away, tough guy.”
