Police have been filmed using a taser on a pregnant 17-year-old girl who was accused of resisting arrest.
Video shot on a cellphone shows Dailene Rosario screaming in pain as a dozen NYPD officers surrounded her in an apartment building in the Bronx on Friday night.
The teenager, who is 14 weeks pregnant, was shot in her side with the stun gun by an officer in plainclothes, causing her to fall to the ground as she withered in pain.
The wires from the taser were clearly visible on Rosario’s body in the footage shot by one of her neighbors.
She was filmed yelling at the cops: ‘Get off of me, get off of me!’, while witnesses screamed that the young woman was pregnant right before she was tasered.
‘I was resisting them because I didn’t do anything wrong,’ Rosario told News12.
The teen said she told officers she was pregnant prior to being stunned.
Police were already in the building for a separate issue when they heard Rosario’s boyfriend fighting with her sister’s partner over a video game.
Rosario’s family said the teen’s boyfriend had already left by the time officers came upstairs and found her arguing with her sister’s partner.
Police called for backup when the family would not let the officers inside without a warrant.
Rosario claims officers then grabbed her by the arm and pulled her into the crowd of cops where she struggled with them until she was tasered.
NYPD said they were aware of the incident and were reviewing it internally.
The teenager was charged with resisting arrest, obstructing governmental administration and disorderly conduct.
She sustained bruising from the ordeal and her family are planning to file a lawsuit.
