Oneida County Deputy Charged With Sexual Assaulting Fellow Officer

MADISON, Wis. – The 45-year-old former Oneida County deputy accused of sexually assaulting another law enforcement officer has been formally charged in Dane County.

Lee Lech is charged with second degree sexual assault and attempted second degree sexual assault. Online court records list the offense date as October 2011. It reportedly occurred at a Madison hotel.

The sexual assault was reported to Madison Police by the alleged victim in November 2016. The woman said she was in shocked and in disbelief following the alleged incident.

According to court documents the two were in Madison for training.

The alleged victim said Lech asked to come to her room to get Alka-Seltzer, but then didn’t leave. Court documents said then Lech sexually assaulted victim. The alleged victim said she had injuries from the incident weeks later.

Lech resigned from the department in September 2014 and was hired part-time by the Clark County Sheriff’s Department in November 2014, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Clark County Chief Deputy James Hirsch said Lech resigned from their department in May 2016.
