Cop Claimed Overtime While Watching Child Porn

Craig Wattier has been a cop for nearly 30 years, but his career has come to an end it seems.

It was discovered that Officer Wattier was claiming overtime while he was in fact watching child porn, reports say.

Officer Wattier admitted he “wasn’t really working,” according to reports.

Instead, he was logging into an evidence server and watching footage of children being raped. The footage had been seized from others by police.

This evidently continued for two years, and he had watched hours upon hours of footage — hundreds of videos — that the judge stated are “shocking in their perversity.”

He accrued as much as $28,000 in overtime pay, which has resulted in the court finding him guilty of breach of trust and fraud, on top of the despicable videos he was viewing.

“The normal human response to material like this is revulsion,” said the prosecutor Allison Dellandrea.

Officer Watter had “one of the rare keys to a vault, and he abused that trust,” she added.

In one case he evidently claimed to be working overtime to investigate a homicide “that had not yet even occurred.”

Filming Cops was started in 2010 as a conglomerative blogging service documenting police abuse. The aim isn’t to demonize the natural concept of security provision as such, but to highlight specific cases of State-monopolized police brutality that are otherwise ignored by traditional media outlets.
